As a dedicated and accomplished athletic/swimming coach with over 20 years of elite swimming experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success in coaching athletes and swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
I have an extensive background that includes:
NCAA Division 1 Competitor: As a student-athlete at Missouri State University, I competed at the highest collegiate level, achieving multiple top-three finishes in the Mid-American Conference Championships and contributing to my team's success in NCAA competitions. My rigorous training and competition schedule developed my understanding of the demands placed on elite athletes and how to prepare them effectively.
Professional and International Experience: I proudly represented the Republic of Korea as a member of the Korean National Swim Team, competing in prestigious events such as the East Asian Games and the US National Collegiate Open Water Championships. My participation on the national team has equipped me with unique insights into the international competitive landscape, allowing me to incorporate global training methodologies into my coaching.
Physical Training Coaching: In my previous roles, I have developed and implemented comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for swimmers, focusing on improving their physical fitness, flexibility, and endurance. As an Assistant Swim Coach for the Arkansas Dolphin Laser Swim Team, I supervised strength training sessions, emphasizing bodyweight exercises and functional movements that enhance swimming performance.
