Acerca de LOUIS JEAN
From that perspective, before boarding on any type of teaching I must know the individual differences of my students and adapt my work to these differences, along with providing a comfortable and free environment so that they can participate in this learning process in a comfortable and free manner. It is important to add that not only should I know my students, but first I should know their own weaknesses and professional strengths to improve the former and enhance the latter. The evaluation of my students and my peers is an effective tool that, when taken seriously and professionally, helps me to improve my professional development. The task of teaching is a process of constant change, never one class is equal to another, and students never present the same attitude or disposition to learn. That is why I choose to be an actor that attracts and motivates the students in this process. A motivated student, in turn, motivates me to give the best of myself and to make use of all the tools at my disposal to help and ensure that my students learn in an appropriate way and that such learning is remembered by them in the long term. In other words, excellence means for me to give the best as a professional to the students so that they receive good quality and useful learning for life.
Teaching is not an easy task and those of us who have chosen this task, know that it has valuable rewards such as the satisfaction that we help and prepare our students to be better, more critical, responsible and aware not only of the world around them but also of their role in it. Often our responsibility and teaching work are projected outside the classroom and the students will keep good and bad memories for the rest of their life. In other words, we are providers of consciousness not only of knowledge. Achieving an effective learning in our students is the best reward that motivates us to improve our daily work as professionals. A teacher must never forget that one day he was a student and it is from there that he must put himself in his students' place in order to satisfy their needs and expectations. ¨I treat my students as I would have liked to be treated by my teachers when I was a student¨.

My teaching philosophy is based on the fact that students learn more efficiently if they are stimulated to be the managers of their own learning process and in which the professor is a guide, a facilitator. Also as a teacher I must help students to create critical thinking and stimulate their creativity, since critical thinking together with creativity, enable the students to make analysis, synthesis and apply what they have learned in different ways. As a lecturer, I think that we deserve the best knowledge of those around us, especially in a multicultural context which allows the teacher and the students to expand their worldview by knowing other cultures. Even when speaking of culture, we target human groups, we must not forget that each person is individual and unique, with their own stories, experiences, needs and expectations. The fact of being unique implies that everyone has a proper way of understanding the world. Understanding goes hand in hand with the time it takes a student to acquire and internalize the new learning for later use, some learn faster than others.
