• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  My love for languages and teaching started at a young age, but it truly took shape when I had the opportunity to teach abroad. Living and working in Thailand, I saw firsthand how learning a new language could transform lives-opening doors to new opportunities, connections, and a sense of belonging.
  
  When I moved to Quebec, I became even more aware of the challenges that immigrants and non-native speakers face when integrating into a French-speaking society. I saw talented, intelligent people struggling to express themselves, feeling isolated because of language barriers. That's when I realized that teaching French wasn't just about grammar and vocabulary; it was about empowerment, confidence, and giving people the tools to thrive in their new environment.
  
  This is what fuels my passion today. I love helping my students break through their fears, find their voice in French, and build a future where they feel truly at home. Language is more than just words, it's connection, culture, and identity. And being part of that journey with my students is what makes this field so meaningful to me. This inspired me to specialize in immersive, culturally rich teaching. Simply put, I am fascinated and deeply passionate about my job.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  French is more than just words and grammar; it's a bridge to connection, opportunity, and belonging. For many of my students, learning French is not just about mastering a language; it's about building a new life, integrating into a new culture, and finding their voice in a place that once felt foreign.
  
  What truly drives me is witnessing the transformation that happens when someone goes from feeling like an outsider to feeling at home. I've seen students who were once afraid to speak suddenly light up when they realize they can hold a conversation, understand a joke, or confidently navigate daily life in French. It's in those moments the spark of confidence, the joy of self-expression, the pride in overcoming challenges that I find my greatest fulfillment.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Tutoring is not just about teaching, it's about guiding, inspiring, and empowering someone to reach their full potential. What I love most about tutoring is the human connection. Every student comes with their own story, challenges, and dreams, and I have the privilege of walking alongside them as they take steps toward confidence and fluency.
  
  There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing a student break through a barrier, whether it's finally understanding a difficult concept, daring to speak in French for the first time without fear, or achieving a goal they once thought was out of reach.

I don't just teach French I create a supportive, engaging, and immersive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, learn, and grow. I bring patience, encouragement, and a deep understanding of the challenges non-native speakers face, especially those trying to integrate into a new culture. My goal is not just to teach a language but to help my students build confidence, resilience, and a true connection with French as a living, breathing part of their daily lives

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  Yes, I've been fortunate to have teachers who left a lasting impact on me, but one in particular stands out. He was a French teacher who had a way of making the language come alive-not just through textbooks and grammar rules, but through storytelling, culture, and real-life connections. He believed that learning a language was not just about memorization but about experiencing it, feeling it, and making it part of who you are.
  
  Now, as a tutor, I strive to create that same kind of encouraging and immersive learning environment. I want my students to feel supported, to take risks without fear, and to discover the beauty of the French language in a way that feels meaningful to them. Just as my teacher once believed in me, I want to be that person for my students, helping them see their own potential and guiding them toward success.

• What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are patience, active listening, and adaptability. Every student learns at their own pace, and it's essential to create a supportive environment where they feel confident to express themselves. I also integrate modern and interactive tools to make learning more engaging. Finally, I believe that motivation and enthusiasm are contagious if the teacher is passionate, the students will be too!
