Acerca de Clara
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Language and Literature and a Master's Degree in Contemporary Literature and Cultural Studies. Over the years, I have taught Spanish in a variety of educational settings, including university courses, cultural institutions, language academies, and private lessons in cities such as Madrid (Spain) and Bern (Switzerland).
The part of teaching that inspires me the most is accompanying my students throughout their learning journey and seeing them achieve their goals. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a student who cannot introduce themselves during the first lesson gradually develop the confidence to hold meaningful and even fun conversations with friends or communicate naturally and professionally in Spanish at work.
Every student is different, and I enjoy adapting my lessons to their goals, interests, learning style and pace. I believe that learning a language should not only be effective but also enjoyable.
As someone who has learned foreign languages as an adult and now lives in a country different from my own, I can strongly relate to the challenges of language learning. I understand the motivation that comes with starting a new language, but also the moments of frustration, self-doubt, and lack of confidence that can appear along the way.
For this reason, I believe it is essential to understand each student as an individual and create a learning environment where studying a language is not only useful and interesting, but also an enjoyable activity that can become a sustainable part of everyday life.
Whether your goal is to travel, work, prepare for an exam, communicate with Spanish-speaking friends or family, or simply enjoy learning a new language, I will be happy to help you on that journey.

My teaching approach is based on communication, practical use of the language, and adapting each lesson to the individual student. Every learner has different goals, interests, strengths, and challenges, so I believe that effective teaching starts with understanding each student's needs.
I strongly believe that even when learning a language for demanding goals, the learning process can still be enjoyable, engaging, and carried out in a comfortable and supportive environment.
So far, I have successfully helped students with:
• Complete beginners (A1)
• Intermediate and advanced students (A2–C2)
• DELE exam preparation
• Conversation practice and fluency development
• Spanish for work and professional communication
• Spanish for travel and relocation
• Academic Spanish and university support
• Spanish for communicating more naturally with Spanish-speaking friends, family members, or partners
A typical lesson usually focuses on the practical use of the language. We work on the grammar points that the student needs, spending as much time on the theory as necessary, but always with the goal of putting that knowledge into practice through conversation and real-life situations.
Outside the classroom, students consolidate their learning through exercises, writing tasks, reading activities, or other personalised materials. During our lessons, we review any questions that arise and focus on applying the language actively and confidently.
However, the content is always adapted to the student's objectives, interests, pace, and preferred learning style.
My goal is not only to teach grammar and vocabulary, but also to help students feel confident using Spanish in real-life situations. I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students can learn, make mistakes, ask questions, and enjoy the learning process while making steady progress towards their goals.
