I like to define my training as a fusion between language, communication and art; where the essence of my professional activity comes from and inspires my teaching methodology.
That means each class is made up of elements from these three areas, in a dynamic way and focused on providing the student with the necessary tools to acquire knowledge of the Spanish language in a holistic, dynamic, effective and satisfactory way.
I believe in edutainment!

Hi! My name is Josefina, your Spanish Teacher.
Learning the Spanish language is an experience that integrates and involves all the senses and, at the same time, challenges you to develop your potential, while discovering its wonderful sociocultural diversity.
I have a degree in Spanish and Literature Teaching, as swell as studies in Media Communication, script writing and broadcasting.
I have more than 25 years of teaching experience, working at High School, Spanish as Second Language Programs and University Programs.
Some of the institutions I have teached at are:
- Peace Corps Volunteer Program
- Binational Costa Rica-USA Cultural Institute
- ILISA Latin American Language Institute
- COSI Spanish Institute
- Universidad Creativa de Costa Rica
I truly believe that every learning experience should be enjoyable. That is the reason why I apply a holistic methodology that integrates a wide variety of activities focused on the acquisition of knowledge but in a 100% interactive and entertaining way.
In my free time, I love playing guitar, singing and writing songs and, of course, I also include music in my classes.
I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced students, and create a personalized program according to his/her personal o professional goals.
