Hola!! :)
I'm an experienced English and Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher. I've been teaching for more than 10 years, and I'm very passionate about what I do.
I prepare my classes professionally and with a lot of effort to make sure my students can make the most of it.
I have experience teaching Spanish in London, Buenos Aires and Barcelona, both individually, at academies, and at university level (I was part of an Erasmus Master programme).

I basically use the first class to talk to my student and see what his/her special needs are, and what he wants to achieve with the classes.
I prepare personalised classes and sometimes we use and follow a book depending on the level. I provide a lot of extra material, and I'm a very visual person so I use a LOT of Powerpoints and other technological resources to explain certain things and practise the language. Communication is the most important thing anyone trying to learn a language wants to achieve, so that's usually my main focus.
I try to motivate my students, I always bring their own experience to class and try to work with things that are meaningful to them.
I also have a wiki for my students to download material that I post, homework, PPTs, further practice on a specific topic, interesting articles to read or videos to watch, etc.
