Acerca de Rafa
Actually, most of my experience is teaching English, although I have taught Spanish too, especially in Academies for my first two years and as well as through language exchange and meetups since I started. After almost ten years teaching English, I want to focus more on the other side, that’s teaching English speakers Spanish, my native tongue, ¡olé!
Recently I have been doing some side projects, like publishing two books (a more personal and a more educational one), and a documentary script (about the jazz music scene in Madrid). This summer I completed a course on audiovisual translation, which continues to give great insight both into English and Spanish, but my passion for teaching is still there!
I like to take on the new challenges, like teaching online and continue to explore new ways of teaching and learning promises to be really exciting.

For all of you who like travelling and discovering the world, here’s a method that will teach you Spanish with geography and fascinating facts.
But it’s not only that actually I have explored many different themes with my students from Spanish slang, to cooking, music, women rights, current news, literature… to just about anything you might imagine.
I follow a project-based learning approach. It means the student will not assume a passive, but an interactive role, which requires the student to be creative and willing to try new things. I will provide you with the first step, or first mini-project, then you will be taking the next step, with your own mini-project and I will be helping you reach your goal.
You will be having class with a certified teacher, who has studied in UC Berkeley and has more than ten years’ experience teaching languages and is passionate to always continue learning, as well as helping others to improve.
I will provide you with grammar, exercises and vocabulary adapted to your level. After we start, I will be monitoring your grammar, increasing your vocabulary and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
Learning is a process and it’s not easy, and finding a good teacher to guide you, motivate you, and give you confidence will help you move forward in surprising ways. If you’re seeking to learn more about the Spanish speaking world, this is the right place, congratulations and welcome.

Rafa's classes are really engaging, with a lot of variation. He uses 'mini-projects', which gives the classes nice continuity and has allowed me to input in which topics I want to learn to talk about in Spanish. He's also a lovely guy, I recommend :)
Soy Angeles. Empecé como principiante hace un año una hora a la semana y ahora, mi nivel de Inglés es B2.
Hablo, leo, escribo y traduzco de español a inglés y viceversa.
Ahora la clase es de 90 minutos a la semana.
Os recomiendo contacteis con él, no solo por lo buen profesor que es y su manera de enseñar, que es fantástica, sino tambien por lo qran persona que es.Porque, además de enseñar bien, tiene mucha creatividad y paciencia.

Especificaciones
For those with an advanced level of Spanish, you might want to break up the classes into 30 hour chunks and that's ok too. Same rates apply.
I do not recommend that for beginner and intermediate levels, because we need the time to explain things and make sure they're clear. Half an hour can go by fast, and there's no sense in hurrying, or leaving things unfinished.
