Acerca de Lilian
My name´s Nora. I´m from Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. I have a degree in Modern Languages with extensive experience as a teacher in different technological institutes and universities. These experiences have allowed me to develop communication and social skills to perform positively in a Spanish teaching relationship. I am proud of my strong learning skills, goal-oriented nature, and adaptability. I am organized, honest, responsible, and very dedicated. I enjoy conducting internet research and creating educational resources for my courses in my spare time. In order to do better, I study and practice English and French very often. I adore taking my dog for walks in rural regions. I love the simplicity of small-town life. Swimming, watching quality films like those starring Meryl Streep, and reading are three of my favorite pastimes. I enjoy spending time with my family, caring for my plants, cooking healthy meals, visiting the stores' front windows, and shopping at the grocery.

I got a bachelor´s degree in Modern Languages at Bolivariana University in Medellín. Since 2015, I have specialized in teaching Spanish to foreigners online. Currently, I work as a virtual Spanish tutor in a virtual Spanish academy and as an independent online Spanish teacher for foreign students.
Teaching Spanish online allows me to share my culture and language with others, and I enjoy discussing ideas and experiences with individuals from various cultures, both of which are beneficial to the student´s social and cultural development as well as my own. In my classes, I employ a range of efficient methods of instruction, but I mostly use the communicative approach. In my classes, students practice all 4 skills, but speaking and listening get extra focus because that's what the students are most interested in. I make a concerted effort to design courses that let students meet the interests that motivated them to start learning the language in the first place. I design my classes with an emphasis on the various communicative needs that everyday life implies because students seem particularly interested in being able to communicate in the situations that they would have to face in their daily routines, whether they need to interact with Spanish speakers in their social or professional settings, plan to live in a Spanish-speaking country, or want to take a vacation in a Spanish-American country. In my classes, I place a high value on integrating interactive and online resources to assist students in learning about and putting self-study techniques into practice.
You will learn grammatical structures, vocabulary, idioms, and pronunciation in my classes. Similar to how you will start to understand the culture from the work of many subjects and circumstances. You will develop your communication skills, especially with regard to speaking and listening through role acting, storytelling, games, films, and music, as well as conversations about fascinating subjects and representations of amusing everyday situations. There will be an endless number of situations and activities that will help you gradually master this lovely language in a fun and efficient way, which means being able to communicate confidently and fluently and go about your daily life.
