Hi! My name is Jair. I’m from Mexico and recently graduated from Yale University, where I spent four years studying, working, and building friendships in an English-speaking environment.
Because I’m bilingual, I understand how intimidating it can feel to speak a second language, especially when you want to sound natural and confident. My goal is to help students move beyond boring textbooks and practice the type of English you actually use on a daily basis.
If you're looking for a patient, normal and approachable person to practice English with, then I'm the right person!

I have always enjoyed helping others gain confidence in English and believe that learning a language should feel practical, engaging, and personalized.
As a bilingual Yale graduate, I understand both the challenges of learning a second language and the opportunities that strong English skills can create for work, travel, and personal growth.
My teaching approach is conversation-based. I focus on helping students actively use English in real-life situations rather than only memorizing grammar rules. Each class is adapted to the student’s level and goals, whether they want to improve their conversational skills, prepare for interviews, feel more comfortable traveling, or become more fluent and confident.
For new students, I offer a free introductory session to understand their current English level, their goals, and the specific situations where they want to use English. Based on this, we can create a simple weekly plan tailored to their needs.
A typical lesson includes a short warm-up conversation, useful vocabulary and expressions related to a real-life topic, guided speaking practice and personalized feedback. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident making mistakes, asking questions, and steadily improving their ability to communicate in English.
